Firefighters return from a fire call on June 1952 and are backing into the old fire house located on Broad St. and Maple Ave. The fire truck is a 1946 International. If you look closely you can see the old rubber fire coats draped over the ladders and one man has a re-breather on a older version of today's SCBA (standing on top of the truck).

Members of the Fire Department construct the new foot Bridge across the Schuylkill river so residence can access the bus stop. It is still standing today.
